The Force 24 is the result of a brief written by the Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club (RPAYC) in Newport, NSW, Australia. The RPAYC wanted a 24’ boat eligible for ISAF Grade 1 match racing events, in a more yacht-like package than is available in other training boats popular in Australia. The first boat was launched in mid-winter 2005, and the RPAYC has already hosted several successful regattas.
